General

Santale is a comprehensive Hytale server list platform. We help players discover Hytale servers and help server owners grow their communities through voting, real-time monitoring, and detailed statistics.

Server List: Servers manually added by their owners. You can vote for these servers, and owners can manage their listings, add descriptions, and track statistics.

All Servers (Discover): Servers automatically collected from other Hytale server lists across the web. This gives you a comprehensive view of all known Hytale servers. Server owners can claim these listings to manage them on our platform.

Yes! Adding your server and all core features are completely free. We offer optional premium features like featured placement and animated banners for server owners who want extra visibility.

For Server Owners

  1. Create an account or log in
  2. Click "Add Server" in the navigation
  3. Fill in your server details (IP, port, name, description)
  4. Submit - your server goes live instantly!

We automatically query your server every 5 minutes to track:

  • Online Status: Whether your server is reachable
  • Player Count: Current and maximum players
  • Ping/Latency: Response time in milliseconds
  • Server Version: Current Hytale version
  • MOTD: Message of the day

This data is shown on your server page with historical charts so you can track trends over 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

Common reasons:

  • Firewall blocking query port (UDP)
  • Incorrect query port configured
  • Server using non-standard query protocol
  • Query rate limiting on your server

Try using the protocol detection feature when editing your server, or ensure your query port is open.

Premium: Animated banners (GIF/WebP), extra game mode tags, golden badge, priority in search results.

Featured: Highlighted placement on the homepage and top of server listings for maximum visibility.

If you find your server in "All Servers", you can claim it by clicking the "Claim" button on the server page. This will pre-fill your server's information and allow you to add it to the main Server List where players can vote for it.

For Players

  1. Find a server you like in our listings
  2. Click on it to view the server page
  3. Copy the server IP address (click the copy button)
  4. Open Hytale and connect using the IP address

Voting helps servers climb the rankings. You can vote once every 24 hours per server. To vote:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to the server page
  3. Click the "Vote" button

Servers are ranked by total votes and monthly votes.

Each server shows a status indicator:

  • Green = Online and responding
  • Red = Offline or unreachable

We check server status every 5 minutes.

Technical

We support:

  • HyQuery / One Query: UDP-based query protocol (same port as game)
  • Nitrado: Nitrado-hosted servers (game port + 3)

Use the "Detect Protocol" feature when adding your server to find the correct settings.

To display player count, version, and online status, your server needs a query protocol mod installed. Choose one of these mods based on your setup:

After installing, select the appropriate query protocol in your server settings and use "Check Status" to verify it's working.

  • Server status: Every 5 minutes
  • Statistics history: Stored for 30 days
  • Discovery data: Updated every 6 hours from external sources

Yes! Server owners get an API key that can be used to update server information programmatically, verify votes, and integrate with reward systems. Check the API Documentation for details.
